Fellowship History
In 1970 Wayman Mitchell went to the small town of Prescott, Arizona. From here, a spiritual fire was launched that is spanning the globe.
In a few short years, hundreds of churches have been planted: and crusades and conference; are touching tens of thousands every year. This church is a product of that vision and is working to see it expanded in the short time that remains before Jesus’ return.
God has given us a vision for the day we live in. Our message is simple, yet it is the cornerstone of all truth.
Jesus Christ is the only hope for man’s salvation. In a world full of empty dreams and false promises is a truth that grows stronger every year, and that is Jesus Christ and Him crucified! The fellowship now includes more than 2,500 congregations worldwide.
OUR HISTORY
1992
In April of 1992 Isaac Cortez and his wife Doris were sent to San Antonio’s south side to pioneer a new work. Brother Isaac and Sister Doris, saved in their Mother church in San Antonio saw only a great opportunity to impact their generation for Christ.
As the Cortez’s simply began to preach, serve and evangelize, God honored their labors by bringing in scores of young people.
Since then, the Lord has graced us with several waves of revival brought about by the workings of His Holy Spirit.

2013
In October 2013 Isaac and Doris Cortez responded to a need to go back to South Africa to continue what the Lord had already begun there. Pastor Willis Gordon and Liz stepped into the church to continue the legacy and vision of soul winning, discipleship, world evangelism, and church planting.
Mission of Our Fellowship
Our mission is accomplished by keeping focused on five core values.
Worship: Man’s chief end is to glorify God and to enjoy Him forever. Psalm 29:2 says, “Give unto the Lord the glory due unto His name; worship the Lord in the beauty of holiness.” Central to the life of the congregation is the vibrant, heartfelt, and exuberant worship of Jesus Christ as Lord.
Evangelism: Mark 16:15 says, “And He said to them, ‘Go into all the world and preach the gospel to every creature…’” The great commission has never been rescinded. Keeping the Gospel “outside the four walls” is one of the defining ethics and emphasis of our ministry.
Devotion: Devotion refers to our commitment to God’s will, God’s ways, and God’s Word. We believe in a serious-minded approach to communion with God. Finding the balance between legalism and license is the fruit of an intimate relationship with God.
Fellowship: Acts 2:42 says, “They devoted themselves to the apostles’ teaching and to the fellowship.” The life of the early church revolved around the faithful ministry of teaching and preaching God’s Word and the bond of committed relationships that believers has with one another. Galatians 6:10 reiterates, “Therefore, as we have opportunity, let us do good to all, especially to those who are of the household of faith.” In order for worship to complete us, the church must be a fellowship of believers.
Discipleship: Matthew 28:19-20, “Go therefore and make disciples of all nations…teaching them to observe all things I have commanded you…” Discipleship is a responsibility we take seriously. It is also a process where we challenge believers to mature and grow as followers of Christ seeking to do His will.
Our Vision
Evangelism – Discipleship – Church Planting
Go Ye Into all the world
We take seriously Christ’s commission to “Go into all the world and preach the gospel to every creature.” Therefore, our vision has always been to fulfill Christ’s Great Commission through Evangelism, Discipleship and Church Planting both Domestically and Internationally. It was Christ Himself who commanded His followers to “make disciples of all the nations,” and the simple obedience to this command is the passion and driving force of our church.
With this focus, we are constantly endeavoring to reach people with the gospel of Jesus Christ, and to spread the good news of God’s love and saving grace throughout the world. Whether we use Christian bands, movies, dramas, street preaching or door-to-door evangelism… Our focus, vision and mission is to help lead people into their own personal and saving relationship with the Savior Jesus Christ.
