Did you know?

Message from Our Pastor

Did you know that
…you have great value.

God loves you and wants to have a personal relationship with you.
The world around us tells us that we are all accidents of nature. Some product of random events over time. They say we began as ooze evolving into monkeys and now humans. The worldly attitude is that we live, we die, and to grab all that we can while on this earth. In contrast the Bible tells us we are not simply adaptations but we are here for a purpose, and we can find the ultimate fulfillment by finding a relationship with God through Jesus Christ.
God knew you well before you were born, even while you were in your mother’s womb. He knew all about your family and your life up until now. He wants to give you an all new start and a new way of living. He can do that when you give him your life. Why would you do that? Because…

God wants you

John 17:3 “And this is the way to have eternal life – to know you, the only true God, and Jesus Christ, the one you sent to earth.”
God is not some “force”, a nonspeaking or unseeing idol up in the sky, or merely an alternative name for your own self-esteem. God is a person, your creator, who created you to be in a relationship with him. Why? Because…

God loves you

John 3:16 “For God so loved the world, that He gave His only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in Him should not perish, but have everlasting life”
You can turn control of your life over to God, because He loves you and wants only the best for you. His love for you is so great that He gave His only son Jesus, to die on the cross for you. We’ll talk more about that in a moment. I just want to make sure you realize that when you trust God, you are trusting the One who created you. When you turn your life over to Him, you are giving your life to the One who knows you best, inside and out. Don’t you think a that’s a perfect place to put your trust?

God has plans for you

Jeremiah 29:11 For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, says the LORD, thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you an expected end.
Do you believe that God has a specific plan for your life? Maybe you already do, but do you know how to find it?
If left to ourselves, without God, we as humans will get caught in the endless cycle of trying to be better, doing things faster, and having more stuff. We will naturally want to focus on getting a great job, finding the right person to marry, getting the first home or second home, and buying the newer car. We might say we love God but, in reality, our real ambition and drive is about success, about significance, about fame, and about money. It’s only when we find ourselves in the midst of all of this that we might think to add Jesus to our list of important plans.
